What is a Deposit Bond

A Deposit Bond is a guarantee of payment and these Bonds are underwritten by insurance organizations. A deposit bond can be used instead of cash when settling a property, normally once a contract to purchase is signed a 10% cash deposit is made by the purchaser, the deposit bond is a substitute for the cash outlay.
