There is no law that says you have to charge your tenants a tenant bond, but it is highly recommended as it really is a kind of insurance for you as the landlord. If you do charge your tenants a bond there are specific requirements you must meet and your tenant must meet. The Bond Lodgement Form is one requirement and you and the tenant must complete this.
