At some point Property Investors need to update the look of their investments to attract the best possible income.
While there is a certain reluctance amongst us to do cosmetic work to a property we also know that delaying it can actually hurt us in the pocket.
Therefore when the decision is made to go for it and update a property we’re closely monitoring the cost. Any work done must be for the best rate and often we believe that means we need to do as much of the work ourselves.
Doing the work yourself can be a trap however. When you work out your hourly rate and that of a contractor – it’s more likely you’re earning a lot more and therefore utilising the contractor to do the work just makes more sense. It really depends what your doing there are lots of jobs you are not legally allowed to do.
